This bag is created out of recycled antique kimono silk made from kimonos that are too worn or stained to be used whole anymore. This pattern depicts red outlines of dishes, vases, and tea cups (called chawan) on a black background. The inner lining is black dupioni silk. Silk has been used in the occult world to guard against negative energies, and to balance and amplify positive intentions.
